"Then He said to them all, ‘If anyone desires to come after Me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross daily, and follow Me.” - Luke 9:23
Welcome and thanks for checking out Calvary Chapel of Chapel Hill! I have had the blessing and honor of serving this special body of believers since July 2023, following in the footsteps of our faithful founding Pastor David Marini. You can check out the CCCH story leading up to my leadership here.
My prayer is for CCCH is to be a body of believers actively surrendering ourselves unto the Lord each day to live and be the people He has designed and called us to be. Following in the style of Calvary Chapel, our focus is to rightly divide and study His Word book by book, chapter by chapter, and verse by verse. We don’t skip over anything and prayerfully embrace conviction. As we delve into His Word, we seek to be led by and yielded to His Spirit, seeking to live in prayerful obedience to His Way of living. His Word. His Spirit. His Way.
Since becoming a believer in June of 2006 and starting my journey at Calvary Chapel of the Hudson Valley, I have remained in awe of God’s faithfulness amidst the various seasons and ups and downs of my own life. I started as an opera singer and performer, struggled through a season of backsliding, served as a school administrator, and then finally surrendered to His true calling upon my life for ministry. Through all this, God has remained ever faithful with each step and turn. I’ll never forget the first time sitting in the back of a church, hearing 1 Corinthians 9:16, and feeling the strongest conviction I’d ever felt, “For if I preach the gospel, I have nothing to boast of, for necessity is laid upon me; yes, woe is me if I do not preach the gospel!”
In the midst of our current culture and times, it is ever more apparent how much our world needs the good news of Jesus. We need strong men of God living in His design for men. We need strong women of God living in His design for women. Together, they bear the fruit of strong families living for Christ and not for the world. I pray as you explore our website that you take the time to listen to a message and allow the Word of God to speak unto you, as Hebrews 4:12 states, “For the word of God is living and powerful, and sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even to the division of soul and spirit, and of joints and marrow, and is a discerner of thoughts and intents of the heart.”
I hope to have the chance to meet you one of these Sunday mornings! In the meantime, may His Word minister to you, may you surrender all unto Him, and may you live for His Glory. God Bless!
Maranatha,
Pastor Vince
