“And He put all things under His feet, and gave Him to be head over all things to the church, which is His body, the fullness of Him who fills all in all.” -Ephesians 1:22-23
Christ is the head of the church and He prayerfully raises up a pastor to lead His people in the teaching of the Word of God and striving to live a life surrendered and dedicated to Christ. The pastor is provided accountability and support by the elders of the church for how he lives on a day to day basis and stewards his family, how he teaches the Word of God, and how he stewards the resources of the church for God’s glory.
