When we serve in the church, we need to remember an important thing all service we do is unto one: Jesus. We serve Jesus and in our service He is glorified!
"And whatever you do in word or deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through him." Colossians 3:17
We encourage every believer to serve the church through personal, family, and corporate prayer. We gather every Wednesday at 6:30pm for prayer in the Fellowship Hall. Prayer for the body of belivers is one of the best ways to serve the church. We encourage you to attend. There is an Old Testatment Bible study following prayer at 7:15pm.
If you feel like Calvary Chapel of Chapel Hill is your church home and know Jesus as your Lord and Savior, we invite you to give back with your time and talents. Please prayerfully consider volunteering in one of the below ministries. If something is of interest, email our Church Coordinator at admin@calvarychapelhill.org and she will connect you to the right person.
Children's Ministry: Pray about serving as a teacher, helper, or hall team volunteer. One of the greatest callings God can give is stewarding a young life for His glory. Serving the children of the church is investing in the next generation of believers by planting seeds of salvation, praying for them to become bondservants of God and the Lord Jesus Christ.
Ushers: Pray about serving as an usher in the sanctuary and help to ensure everyone has a seat and anyone needing a Bible is given one!
Greeters: Pray about helping to make sure that every person feels the love of Christ as they come through our doors - whether it be their first visit or their hundredth!
A/V Team: Pray about helping to create a worship service with minimal audio/visual distractions, allowing people to focus on worship, prayer, and learning more about Christ.
Worship Team: Pray about using the gift of music for His glory. The ministry of our musicians and singers is to facilitate the connection between worshippers and the Lord. Our prayer is to be as excellent in our execution of the music as the Lord will allow, given our individual talents. We strive for excellence not to draw attention to ourselves, but to avoid being distracting or unpleasant to the worshippers. The focus is to lead fellow worshippers into His presence through song and prayer so that their heart, souls, and mind can be prepared to receive the preaching of the Word.
Clean Team: Pray about helping to keep our church sparkling clean for all to enjoy! We have faithful servants who clean after service and help before and after events.
Church Choir: Pray about auditioning for our choir that performs throughout the year, especially during special events such as celebrating the birth of our Savior at Christmas or remembering His death, burial, and resurrection during Resurrection Sunday week.
